About the KelTec Brand
KelTec began in 1991 in Cocoa, Florida by a man named George Kellgren. He began his company under the guiding principle that firearms should be innovative in their design and easy to use. Every machine produced by KelTec since then has followed this principle with unwavering dedication. The company gained massive recognition in 1995 with the launch of the P11 handgun and other semi-automatic pistols. Great success came with this, allowing them to expand to other areas of production including rifles and shotguns. One of their most popular launches was and still is the Sub 2K.

What is the KelTec Sub 2000?
Also known as the Sub2K, this is the AR-style pistol that effortlessly blends fun and function. It’s a pistol caliber, however, there is an unmatched ballistic advantage and accuracy at a distance thanks to the 16-inch barrel. Barrel length translates to velocity which translates to power downrange. Long story short: you’ll get the most out of your ammo right out of the box with this pistol. The Sub2K is classified as a “sub-rifle” because of its small size, light weight, and the use of a pistol cartridge. It is intended as a compliment to the handgun with which it would have full interchangeability in ammunition and magazines. Easily disassembled for cleaning or inspection (without tools), the Sub 2000 is ideal for backpacking trips or situations where space and convenience are paramount. Rotate the barrel upwards and back and this rifle can be instantly reduced to a size of 16.25” x 7” for ease of storage. It also features a 3-position stock which provides an adjustable LOP (13-14.25”) as well as two Picatinny rails on the forend for mourning accessories. There’s an ergonomic charging handle located under the bolt tube for ambidextrous operations. It has a ghost ring rear sight and an adjustable front sight with a removable T6 6061 aluminum housing.
