Weighing under 6 lbs, the lightweight and compact Ruger LC Carbine utilizes the same steel magazines and familiar ergonomic controls as the Ruger-5.7 pistol. The standard model features a 16.25” fluted and threaded nitride-treated barrel for strength, accuracy, and longevity. It comes with a reversible, side-folding, adjustable stock, and comes with the option of a 10-round or 20-round magazine. This gives you the greatest capacity while having the perfect folding stock and sights for compact storage. This rifle has impressive ergonomics with an ambidextrous manual safety, a reversible charging handle, an ergonomic bolt release, and an extended magazine release latch. The unique bolt-over-barrel design with the magazine in the grip allows for excellent balance and pointability. The CNC-milled handguard is Type III hard-coat anodized aluminum with M-LOK accessory attachment slots for more customization and durability.

It also comes with accessories such as one Ruger-5.7 steel pistol magazine, ambidextrous magazine button, M-LOK QD sling socket, and hex wrenches for disassembly.

The safety features include: 1911-style ambidextrous manual safety; an integrated trigger safety; lightweight firing pin; neutrally balanced sear with significant engagement and strong spring tension; and hammer catch to help prevent the hammer from contacting the firing pin unless the trigger is pulled. This utilizes Ruger’s safe, reliable and proven Secure Action fire-control system that combines a protected internal hammer with a bladed-safety trigger. Picking a Barrel Length

Deciding on a barrel length is an important first step before purchasing a rifle. If you walk into your local gun shop, chances are they’ll have at least one AR-15 for sale and it’ll probably have a barrel length of 14 1/2 or 16 inches. This length, although popular for its maneuverability and light weight, carries some baggage along with it. First of all, it’s important to note that the AR-15 was originally designed with a 20-inch barrel in mind. This length not only provides a more pleasant overall experience but also helps to reduce internal pressures by lengthening the distance between the gas port and the chamber.
